This is my first episode of Shyly Seeking from Behind the Bell.  My name is Ivy.  This episode I tell you a little bit about myself and why this podcast.  My topic is Finding my Religion.  I discuss what my definition of religion is and how I mesh it with the rest of the world religions.  Turns out I’ve had more influence from my parents than I truly realized.

Welcome to Shyly Seeking from Behind the Bell. I’m just getting started on this podcast. I’m learning as I’m doing.

I am a solitary witch. I have identified myself as pagan for many years (about 10-11 I think, who’s counting?). Since I don’t belong to a coven and still haven’t decided if I really want a teacher I thought I’d wade into the waters of podcasting and find out how many others are out there in the same position. The first podcast is going to be a rambling from me, then I will pick a topic. Sometimes the topic will be very narrow, othertimes it will be quite broad. the general format is going to be in 2 segments. The first segment will be listener feedback from the previous podcasts topic/my ramblings. The second segment will be a new topic and my thoughts on it.

My intent isn’t to be an instructional podcast or pagan 101 although it might touch each. My main intent is to have a “conversation” with others who tread where I tread. Maybe I need the reassurance that I’m doing things right. Maybe someone will tell me something I or others hadn’t considered. Maybe I’ll learn a new point of view and maybe you will too. There should be none of the “my way is the only correct way” discussions rather a discussion of different view and why I think the way I do.
